When you’re weighing up a $49.99 annual Swoodle membership fee, the natural question is simple: what exactly are you paying for? It is a fair question to ask before committing. Most membership fees do not come with a clear answer. You pay, you get access to something, but what that fee actually covers is rarely spelled out.
A Swoodle membership is built around three things: a direct contribution to a cause you choose, 12 months of exclusive member offer access and a system that handles everything in between without any ongoing effort from you.
Here is exactly what each part of that membership fee delivers, so you know precisely what you are getting before you spend a cent.
Part of Your Swoodle Membership Fee Goes Directly to Your Chosen Fundraiser
Part of what your Swoodle membership fee covers is a direct contribution to a cause you care about. When you sign up, you nominate a school, sports club or community fundraiser to support and 40% of your fee goes directly to that organisation.
There are no transaction costs when you redeem an offer, no hidden charges and nothing is deducted from that 40% before it reaches your chosen organisation. Your $49.99 is split at the point of purchase, with no deductions before the fundraiser receives its share.
Swoodle processes fundraiser payouts 30 days after receiving your membership payment, at the end of each month. The transfer is handled automatically, and your $19.99 is paid out in full regardless of how much has been collected across all members that month.
The only decision you need to make is choosing which organisation to support. Everything after that is handled by Swoodle, without any further input from you.
Your Membership Gives You Access to Exclusive Offers

The other part of what your Swoodle membership fee pays for is access. From the day you join, you unlock exclusive offers available to members only. These span food & beverage, retail, health & wellbeing, services, activities, travel and experiences, across both local independent businesses and major national brands including Amazon, Hoyts, Rebel, Bunnings, IKEA, JB Hi-Fi, Lululemon, Priceline Pharmacy, Cotton On and Webjet.
What makes the membership practical is that the offers apply to purchases you are already making. They cover everyday spending categories including coffee runs, gym visits, takeaway meals and household services. These are not special-occasion savings that require planning around. Offers are available across the full 12 months of your membership, with new ones added regularly so the value stays fresh throughout the year.

You’re Also Paying for Convenience and Simplicity
The third thing you get from becoming a Swoodle member is the system that makes all of the above work without any ongoing effort on your part.
Redemption is straightforward. Open the Swoodle app, view offers near your current location and redeem in-store or online at the point of purchase, whether you are near home, your workplace or your kids’ school. The app displays offers relevant to your location, so finding something useful requires no extra effort. One app, one annual fee and offers across every major spending category all in the one place.
If you are currently managing multiple memberships across different spending categories, one $49.99 Swoodle membership covers the same ground across dining, retail, health, travel and services. There are no multiple logins, no inconsistent availability and no combined subscription costs to manage.
Unlike most membership programs, Swoodle is not built around point systems or short-term promotions. The value is available from day one and builds naturally through regular use across the full year.
Swoodle is built around a straightforward exchange. Your annual $49.99 supports a school, sports club or community fundraiser. There are no hidden charges, no surprises and no changes to how your 40% contribution is allocated once you have signed up. It renews only when you decide to.
Join Swoodle as a member to choose your fundraiser and start accessing your exclusive member offers from day one.
FAQs
Does the fundraiser receive money every time I redeem an offer?
No. The $19.99 fundraiser contribution comes from your membership fee, not from offer redemptions. Redeeming an offer does not generate any additional contribution to your nominated cause. The full fundraising allocation is included in the $49.99 sign-up fee at the start.
Can I change which fundraiser receives my $19.99 at renewal?
If you’d like to change the fundraiser you support, you’ll need to purchase a new membership rather than renew your existing one. Before doing so, please cancel your current membership so your new membership can be linked to your chosen fundraiser.
Who is a Swoodle membership best suited to?
Swoodle membership suits anyone who wants to support a local school, sports clubs or community organisations while saving on everyday spending. It is also relevant if you represent a fundraising organisation or a merchant interested in reaching Swoodle members. For a detailed breakdown of who benefits most from joining, read our blog on who should join Swoodle and why.
Does my Swoodle membership auto-renew?
No. Swoodle memberships do not auto-renew. Swoodle will send reminder notifications through the app and by email 30 days before expiry, 15 days before expiry and on the expiry date, giving you time to decide whether to renew. There are no automatic charges and no opt-out process required. If you renew, another 12 months of offer access begins from the renewal date, and 40% of the membership fee is directed to your chosen fundraiser. You can continue supporting the same fundraiser or select another participating fundraiser during renewal.
